Please remember this Book Club is at a private home.

It is important to UNRSVP 24 hrs ahead of time for planning and to allow others on the Waiting List to be added.

You're invited to the Urban Legends Book Club!

During our last meeting we chose "The Art of Racing in the Rain" by Garth Stein.

All members will have the opportunity to suggest a book .

If your  book is  selected you  will be the host for the following month.

Fear not, we'll show you how it's done.

We will meet on the 3rd Monday of every month, giving everyone the opportunity to plan their calendar & to read the book that's selected.

We ask everyone to bring a light snack for refreshmnents/Beverages will be provided.

Kris: so glad you have joined us - I feel you will be a reliable member. Last night was a very good discussion. Hope you'll think about joining Elizabeth and me at the South Buncombe Library Book Club on Thurs. @ 2:30.

Anyone who missed the Urban Legends Book Club last night missed an awesome discussion! We may be small in number but we're big on discussion. If you read books we're the place to be every 3rd Monday of each month.

We picked (3) books last night: MAY: "Winter Garden" by Kristin Hannah
JUNE: "Perks of Being A Wallflower" by Stephen Schosky
JULY: "Someone Knows Your Name" by Lawrence Hill

This is a new approach for us - usually we only pick a book for the coming month - this way, members AND POTENTIAL MEMBERS can see "into the future" and perhaps have their interest peeked.

Summers are busy times, but every reader knows one thing: There's nothing like a "summer read" - at the beach, by the pool, on a camping trip or just on your own deck soaking up some Vitamin D. Check out our book list - then come join us for some mental stimulation!

Bummer! I just saw Judi's note. I need to look at my email settings to see if they can get sent to my personal as they come in. This book is one i will read for sure and would have loved to be part of the discussion.

Hi Christiane- Judi mentioned to me last week that she is hoping to begin announcing the next 3 books in advance for these events, just to help members find the time to read. This event is tomorrow, so I bet the following books will be announced very soon. I hope that helps! ~~Laura

Christiane: come along even if you haven't read the book - our discussion will still allow you to contribute. We have picked our future books at each meeting but I think we will start picking 2-3 future books to give members a "heads up" beyond just the next month.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
