Urban Legends is unusual in that we have intentionally become a community of friends, instead of simply meeting "acquaintances" in a public location, then going home. Become part of an active, fun, and growing community! Our Club Guidelines insist on basic courtesy. Urban Legends is not run by one individual. An Advisory Team works together to create a harmonious atmosphere. Members know what to expect, so they remain happy. When you attend an event you will be greeted like family, introduced to other members at the event, and you'll walk away with a sense of having met some great people.
Notice the number of Members listed on our website? That is accurate. Every month, expired Memberships are given a grace period then removed, to maintain the currently active number of Members. The extra effort is worthwhile. We plan successful Club Events specifically created for our Members. Want to see something not on our Calendar? Make a suggestion or become a Host. We are always looking for more Members to introduce their favorite hobbies to others.
Urban Legends has an active history of over 1400 events and always has a well planned Calendar.

THE ABC'S OF URBAN LEGENDS:
A. Add a recognizable picture and a real name. One person per profile. Make another profile for your spouse.
B. If you RSVP to an event, be there. No-Shows end your Membership. No-shows ruin our club reputation.
C. Pay $5 Dues at your first event- Cash- No Paypal.
You must meet the Club Organizer in person, to join. That means your first event is an rsvp to an event your Club Organizer (Laura) is attending. Your Event Host meets everybody in the club, to help in introducing the Community. No other Event Host is able to accept dues, since we do not see each other daily. Access to the website allows you to see our Calendar, Members, and History, but without meeting Laura and paying Dues, your access ends after 15 days.Your dues pay for the website fee, signs, daily event costs. reservation costs, tickets to fantastic performances, and of course our Anniversary Party.

+ No-Show in our club means "any reservation which is UN-RSVPd less than 24 hours before an event" without an emergency. Consider making and breaking several large RSVPs with your favorite restaurant. The restaurant would not welcome you to make another reservation....
Please do not destroy events due to lack of courtesy. Your Host and Members have made plans to gather for fun. *No-shows ruin opportunities for everyone else in the club by damaging our reputation with a business. *No-shows without explanation for small social events destroy the event for others (the event may be cancelled at the last minute if not viable) and may lead to your removal from the club.
+How to find upcoming Events: Always look at the Calendar for a complete list of our events. The FEATURED EVENT section on the Home Page may not list all events.
+ Renewing Members? While we'd love to write everyone who applies to ask if you plan to attend and join (or stay as a Member), it is impossible. The month you joined is posted on your own profile, so you can keep up with your own Membership. Pay renewal dues within a month of the date you joined, and your Membership will not be interrupted. WE WANT ALL OF OUR FRIENDS TO STAY! However, life does change, jobs take our time, and families become complicated. If you are removed and want to return, simply reapply and you will be welcomed.

+BE NICE! We are here as a friendly, inviting community which benefits everyone involved. Drama is not encouraged. Work it out in private if possible. Bickering is destructive. Insulting anyone in the club-especially on the club website- is not tolerated. Think before you post. You may be removed without refund at the discretion of the Club Organizer.
