Celebrate Spring @ Zilker Botanical Garden

Let's celebrate Spring Urban Sketcher's - Austin style with a leisurely afternoon sketch session exploring the vibrant wildflower and native garden and grounds display at the Zilker Botanical Garden Center.

Sorry to have missed you Serena! Zilker Botanical is very cleverly landscaped to highlight garden areas and to give privacy - I only found the second meeting spot because I latched onto someone with a sketch pad more familiar with the gardens. The meeting coordinator sat at the first meeting spot for a long time. Hope that we see you next time! (Wish I'd seen the squid tree:))

I was sitting only about 25 feet from there (by the gnarly tree that looks like a giant squid). I kept looking down toward the Teahouse and only saw garden "walkers". Oh well, sorry to have missed it.

You must have just missed us. It was a small group that met at 3:00 at the Tea House. We were there for about 30 minutes. Sorry. :-(

I did not write down where I was supposed to meet the group a the Garden. I did see Carolyn and Jeff and was told the 4pm meetup was at the "tea Garden" which was pointed out to me. I waited there for half an hour and didn't see anyone.
I then went to the Gift shop, which is where Jeff told me everyone met up on arrival. But no one there either. Did everyone leave early or was there a change of plan?

Sorry folks! I can't make it today. I messed up my new truck and I am kind of depressed about that. With that said, I will make it to the next meetup. Have fun.

Very sad about the truck:( Do you need a ride? Might cheer you up to leave the mechanical world for the natural one.
