DUSN Monthly Social Meetup!

Rackhouse Pub inside of Stranahan's Whiskey has been kind enough to open up a spot for us to meet the second Sunday of each month. The Rack House Pub a pretty nice place with very tasty beverages, open space, and good seating. This is a great environment for everyone to get together in a social setting, for new members to introduce themselves, and to reinforce that we don't have to go at this alone. The Rackhouse Pub is right off the highway in a pretty central location. The room we have been meeting in is all the way to the back of the bar through a door that is nicely closed off and convienent for chatting. The front dest staff is pretty helpful, just let them know you are meeting a group and they can direct you back. I can't wait to see everyone there!

Not sure if this is accurate, but the manager of the Rackhouse told us they are closing their doors on April 4th. The March 9, 2014 happy hour may have been the last DUSN event at the Rackhouse. Sad to see it go, but it became useless to us a few months ago. I looked up what it took to rent the room. They required a $250 deposit, and $500 in food. Not that it matters now. Since the manager of the Rackhouse delivered the news of the restaurant closing in such a rude manner, I am a little skeptical that it was not a comment to get rid of us. Some people's business plans are puzzling to me.

I know of a possible new location in Denver Metro. I don't want to specify until I know for certain, but I should be finding out tonight.

I will be bringing a special deal for all those attending. Recently I purchased a large quantity of Mainstay Emergency Food Ration bars, and I have too many. I bought them directly from the company wholesale, and I will be selling them at a very cheap price (just a little bit above wholesale to count for my transportation fuel expenses). I will be selling them at the following prices:
    1200 Cal. bars $3.50 ea.
    2400 Cal. bars $5.00 ea.
    3600 Calorie bars $ 6.50 ea.
Feel free to compare with prices on the internet, and you'll see this is a huge savings and NO SHIPPING!
I just want to get rid of the excess I have and not loose my shirt in the process!
Bring CASH! I will not accept anything else (unless you have something I need and we can barter).

I will also be bringing a possible survival product I'm thinking of selling and would love to hear your opinions about it.
    See you there!

Hi Ellen, We generally go around the table and introduce ourselves. There is usually no sales pitch or demonstration. It is a social event. We've had plenty of people come to us over the years selling food. You are free to attend and meet everyone.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
