Follow-on discussion to the Pandemic/Biological Attack Presentation. The presentation will discuss the major remaining biological warfare agents we did not have time to cover in the first presentation. It will describe biological warfare programs in other nations. It will discuss the remaining high priority CDC Category A biological warfare agents "that pose a risk to national security because they:
- can be easily disseminated or transmitted from person to person;
- result in high mortality rates and have the potential for major public health impact;
- might cause public panic and social disruption; and
- require special action for public health preparedness."
When polled during the previous presentation (50+ attendees), the majority requested this follow-on discussion. This presentation will follow the monthly Preparedness Educational Network (PEN) meeting.
