What would you most like to learn from this group?

How to create community with others & be informed on emergency preparedness & grow community sufficiency so can help my family & others who aren't as prepared when emergency events arise.

Why is emergency preparedness important to you

Our country just extended the Patriot Act, genetically engineered seeds (and now salmon!) are expanding and we don't know what foods they're in, I've always been an organic gardener but didn't know it!, so am especially keen on growing/raising as much of my food as I can, and helping others to do so, so we take back our health and are prepared. I bought a dehydrator so am experimenting with drying different vegetables & fruit (anyone have techniques to share?). Want to learn to can meat, etc.

Introduction

Hi! I grew up on a farm, so have in-grained instincts about living on the & loving the land-but our pioneers knew & understood a lot more. Have objectives to learn medicinal herbs, building a sustainable/emergency-ready life.
