Really, all I can say is wow! That was such a greet MeetUp on Wednesday night! Peter put it all together from scratch!
It was an amazing powerpoint presentation and speech covering just about everything, including: What exactly to be prepared for, how to create your own hierarchy of needs, common personality traits of survivors, when to just say no, and so many others! I think everyone walked away with something new to add to their arsenal of knowledge. It was nice to see a number of familiar faces and a good handful of new ones! It's also great to see such varying levels of experience together in one room, from those who are just getting started to those who really are prepared for whatever may come their way. Great things are heading down the pipeline so be sure to keep on eye on the site!
Important note: to improve, keep growing, and continue providing interesting content, feedback is critical.
So for everyone that was there, please send me a quick message replying to this email, to let me know what you thought of the MeetUp and what you though of Peter. Also, if there were things you would do to change or improve the group, or what things you like and would keep the same, feel free tell me so that appropriate changes can be made... Remember, this is a group here for you as long as you can be here for it! For everyone else, shortly I will be putting up a survey asking about your interests for the group, I want to make sure we are hitting your priorities.
I also have a couple of great announcements. This has been an astounding month for Denver's Urban Survival Network! I really want you all to know that you are a part of something great, and here is why. The motto I put out there is:
- -Denver's Urban Survival Network
- "DUSN it feel good to be prepared!?"
Think about that for a couple seconds... seriously... take a moment to stop and think about it... When you watch the news and see sad yet common things like displaced refugees, rural families waiting on government assistance, or headlines about simple issues such as a food recall, you can step back and know that you don't have to be affected. You know that you made a choice in which you want something better in your life. Right now you are a part of something amazing, a group with a positive message, that will help you and those you love. When disaster strikes you will not have to wait for FEMA to save you, your family can now be a help
to the community instead of a hindrance,
and you can sleep better each night knowing that your personal loved ones will be safe with you. So think about it, doesn't that truly feel good?!
We are growing every day, and with that, more and better resources will be available to you. So please, if you have people you care about, let them know they can join the group for free. Spread the message that this group exists so that we can all benefit and lives can be changed. Check out DataDeed
, it's a product that really fits in with our message, and it may fill a need for you. Also if you are on Facebook
, or Tumblr
, get connected. There is nobody
out there doing what we do, and the information we have can change peoples future.
Talk to you all again soon
