Saturday track training

PLEASE NOTE THE NEW TIME:  8am!

In order to get some speed, track training are the best. Every week we will do longer intervals so we can get more comfortable with at the end of long race.

- warm-up

- 6x100 strides + strechs

- Pyramid: (400, 800, 1200, 1600), (1600, 1200, 800, 400) - 60 sec static rest between reps, 3 mins between the 1600m reps

- cool down

    Hey! just wanted to know if this training is only for advanced runners and if you need to use track shoes. My fitness level is good (thanks Crossfit) but I'm an average to slow runner (5:30min/km) and would love to improve my speed. I'm also new to the group!!!

      Hi Tomas. This training is for any level as you don't need to keep up with anyone. you do as much as you are capable and at your own pace. So come along as I am sure will enjoy the challenge! We all support each other when the going gets tough!
