FYI: Gather Unconference in July $49

  • July 13, 2013 · 8:00 AM

This is not a UX Auckland event, but Gather is an unconference, where the participants give the talks. I really recommend this event to anyone that is interested in Design, Development, Ukulele...

Info -
Cost - $49

The Sessions are divided into multiple 40-minute blocks.

You have free rein to do absolutely anything you want. They can be show-and-tells, discussions, lessons, or even just a sit-down-and-make-stuff.

You don’t have to be the expert to host a session. Suggest a topic and see if anyone is interested in helping you run it. Sessions are not meant to be a series of lectures – everyone is encouraged to participate.

I encourage UX AKL to host a session or 3. I have done a few sessions in the past, but I'd really like to see more UX'ers in the mix. If you are interested, hit me up, if you need help hosting a session, hit me up, if you just want to talk to someone and bounce ideas off, hit me up.

This is worth your time :)

Hey Just joined. im keen, I have an idea and a prototype piece of software that we have designed and made. I would love to present it, share our experience in making it and get some feedback and interaction going. Is this appropriate? Its an online community noticeboard. its free to use. I need some context tho. I'm new here. Is this something a hundred people will attend or 5?

Hi Brani, are you looking to give a presentation to UX Meetup or Gather? Gather is a great place to do that, but their timeslots are almost filled, so you should check it out soon. If you want to give a presso to the UX Meetup group, let's chat via email or something to sort that out. :) Cheers!
