UX Auckland Meetup - July/August ;-)

This location is shown only to members

Good things happen when you put out a call for speakers, even if they take a little time...

But it does mean that we're having to change the date AND the venue to accommodate the wonderful Dan Szuc who is in town that week. The meetup will now be a week later, on Wednesday 4th August, 6pm, at Microsoft House, Viaduct Harbour.

Dan was the keynote speaker at last year's UX Australia, and his talk comes highly recommended.

I hope you can all make it!

Dan's talk:
"Selling UX - finding the shared language of success"
Imagine we need to sell UX to an organization. Not all organizations have the same level of interest and receptiveness to UX. Some just don’t care. What should we know about an organization that will help us sell UX more effectively? What sort of questions should we ask about the organization, its people and its culture? What can we learn from organizations where UX has become part of the corporate DNA? What factors can increase our chances of promoting UX successfully to an organization now and in the future? This presentation will tap into years of experience in selling UX into different markets and organizations. We will share the successes, pitfalls and failures.

Great meeting last night. Great talk from Dan - would love to spend a lot longer talking about this stuff though and I think more discussion around how great brands use great UX for success is needed.

...oh and when I need a bed in HK...
