The Declaration of Independence affirms the God-given rights of man. The Constitution of the United States enumerates limited powers delegated to the federal government with all other powers and rights retained by the states, or the people (Amendments IX and X).
However, elected officials and departments of government are administering the opposite of these principles. They are usurping powers never delegated to them and they are leaving citizens with few rights. The result is economic fraud, war, and disorder.
Thankfully, many individuals and organizations in Utah and throughout the nation are trying to right this situation by learning and teaching the principles of freedom and constitutional government. But, ironically, because of the love of freedom to do as we please, we are scattered and disunited in these efforts.
We therefore invite all peaceful individuals and organizations of liberty-minded Utah citizens to participate in a convention for the purposes of meeting one another, identifying our activities and formulating ways to effectively educate ourselves, elected officials, and masses of other citizens in the principles of our true American government and heritage.
Using the founding documents of the United States of America as our guide, all are invited to meet as equals from their respective organizations, to retain independence to pursue our respective freedom promoting activities, and to establish unity in a bond of friendship and association.
If you are interested in attending the Utah Convention of Liberty on February 20th and 21st at the Utah Territorial Statehouse in Fillmore, please click on the Database link on the left side of this page and add a record with your name, organization, and county to the Probable Convention Attendees table. The proposed hours for the meetings on the Friday of the convention are from 5 PM to 9 PM and the Saturday from 8 AM to 5 PM.
