thanksLIVING Day Vegan Potluck Celebration at Patricia's Ranch in Mesa!

Please join us as we celebrate the living on thanksLIVING day with special host, Patricia, at her ranch in Mesa (replete with horses, a goat, and Rudy the Wonder Dog) for the splendor, the pure magic, and moments that sparkle at this superlative event. There will be dining in grand fashion on Nature's finest bounty with our very own, brilliant as the colors of the rainbow, thanksLIVING day VEGAN potluck. This will be a feast for the eyes, with tantalizing, fragrant aromas filling the air, and explosions of flavors rolling across our tongues!

Socializing and tours of the ranch to see the animals begins at 2pm and the potluck starts at approximately 2:30pm.

This is a potluck, so please bring something Vegan or RAW Vegan to share with others.

Hi Andy, I have moved a lot as well, and would have been really challenged without the help of friends when I arrived in this area. If you haven't yet found help, I may be able to be available depending on timing. If it is a week day, but I don't have clients scheduled, and it is manageable for my husband, I can help, but we only have one car. Weekends are good, save for a couple appts. I have in the upcoming weekends. My cell is[masked]-5272. Hope all works out. Didn't get a chance to meet you at Patricia's if you were there I don't think.

Andy here again. Mae and I were considering maybe just biking to the potluck instead and we were wondering if anyone could take us in afterword, just for the night. We have a tent and are open to any arrangement. Thanks for any help!

There are no rules bring whatever you want to cooked or raw. Last one was awesome a big variety of food.

I love/prefer when there are ingredients listed on card. I've seen other potlucks that are supposed to be vegan, but, new people come, &, don't know & bring things not vegan, etc. I know I may not make this event for sure due to move, but, would much prefer knowing what I'm eating, so I can comfortably choose what's best for me. Just a thought.....would appreciate other peoples thoughts on this.

      1 · November 26, 2013

    • Steve

I noticed at a recent potluck I attended that someone there wanted everyone to list what was in their food. AND that same person provided paper and pen for people to do just that. I can tell you that I found having paper/pen provided for me quite helpful for those of us who (for a variety of reasons) are scrambling to get something made, get out the door, drive xxxx miles to a potluck, and never seem (in our hurried frame of mind) to remember to bring a list of ingredients with them.

Uh, good point. I didn't know about Rudy the Wonder Dog when I wrote the original post, and I've now made the necessary changes.

hey guys my place still has standing water and alot of mud so we will make the animal thing real quick! I will bring a horse out in the front if anyone wants to pet one and cindy too. I am going to clear the north side of the house for a few cars and you can park along the south side of the house too. I ask don't park on the easement by the south gate that is actually the HOA property, but the drive way is mine.
Also I just got a new dog from MCC 8th St wait til you see him he is beautiful. Name is Zev.

Hi all!! Mae and I are biking from San Francisco and are close to Phoenix. We've been dreaming of a vegan thanksgiving but the problem is our host in phoneix lives like 50 miles on the other side of the city. Does anyone going to this potluck live around there and would be willing to help us get there? Her address is 4213 W Aries Dr, Phoenix, AZ 85053 United States.

As far as I know, no one living on the West Side of town is going to this event. And unless someone from that side is going and can take you, my suggestion, if this is the one event (out of three local VEG events) you want to attend, is that you get down to nearest light rail station at 19th Ave and Missouri in Phoenix. Take the light rail line as far as it goes (into to Mesa), and you will get transported to the East side of town - putting you significantly closer (30+ miles) to many members in our group going to this event. The light rail does cost $2 per person, each way ($4 total per person). So this wouldn't be an entirely free trip, but it would get you to the potluck!

We aren't going to be able to make it anymore, but we really hope there will be another potluck at the ranch soon that we can come to! We hope everyone has a wonderful holiday together!

Also it would be nice if our new friend Vaibhav could get here. Any suggestions? If he got to central Phoenix? His address is up off of 17 and Happy Valley I think, I don't know if anyone is from that part of phoenix headed this way.

I have a lot of family coming over that aren't vegan but will try to take a few minutes to stop by and say hello since I love so close by. I will bring some vegan wine and something else.

      November 17, 2013

  • Anat

I'm so glad this is happening! Would people be into bringing an index card labeled with allergy info this time? Such as whether the dish includes gluten, nuts, nightshades, etc? I know some other people were mentioning that would be helpful at the last potluck.
