Part 1: Paul, as a long-time attendee, I would be remiss not to chime in. In my experience, the only thing being shoved down our throats has been some fantastic raw food dishes. :) For the past 14 years, George and Peggy have welcomed without judgment, everyone into their home: young, old, rich, poor, physicians, gardeners, CEOs, janitors, professors, students, entrepreneurs, homeless, celebrities and “nobodies” (including me!) . . . Christians, Muslims, Buddhists, Hindus, Taoists, New Agers, Wiccans, Agnostics and Atheists . . . and so on. I can assure you that George and Peggy are the real deal. Continued . . .

God/Jesus manifested Him self through George and Peggy. It was tremendous blessing for many people. It was a wonderful, beautiful jewel open to a lot of needy people like myself. George and Peggy house was like a shell, opening to view a magnificent pearl inside. Their hearts are so deep, their souls are so clean, their spirit connected to God.

Can someone please tell me the real headcount here? First it was in the 90s, now it's in the 80s, and I sincerely doubt that Steve is bringing 72 people (?!?), unless he's coming with another meetup group that has 72 people signed up...please advise.

Check out these photos from a recent potluck at this venue. Usually our group has fewer than 10 RSVPs for this event, but as you can see from the photos, there are about 80 people at the potluck: http://www.meetup.com...

Love raw potlucks but I don't need Jesus shoved down my throat. So I won't be there.

Have to say....I'm from Vegas and work in PHO ever month and attend this potluck because of the food and people. I love all people of all religions, backgrounds and cultures, this has created peace and love in me to share with others. Looking forward to seeing everyone.

Paul, you should not be there. People, who attended are usually polite, friendly and grateful. I have been travelling around the world all my life and it's full of arrogant people like you.

FANTASTIC! It was a little bittersweet, walking out of the Nungesser's for the final time. Thanks for the memories, Peggy and George, and to everyone who helped make these potlucks what they were the past 14 glorious years!

any suggestions on what to bring and how much??

    April 16, 2014

    • Steve

It's up to you as to how much to bring, and how generous you're feeling that day. Some people bring enough food to feed a mouse, others enough to feed an army. Also, keep in mind how many people are attending with you. 6 people showing up together with a single unripe avocado in tow, for example, isn't really in the giving spirit of a potluck. This month's theme is Easter, and I'll bet there's a gazillion (or more) raw food recipes on the Internet and/or on youtube. Take a look at past potluck photos to get an idea of the sorts of things people bring: http://www.meetup.com...

Well said Rich. I agree with you 100%!! Peggy and George are two of the kindness people i have ever met. I always have a wonderful time and enjoy great food whenever I go and i will miss that. God bless you both and thank you for all these years of generosity and love!

Part 2: George and Peggy care about people, remember their names and even reference conversations that had taken place months prior. They have even taken people in to live with them who had no place to go! Simply put, they are givers in a taking world. There is not enough space here to talk about all the good that they have done in the raw food community and otherwise. They make the world a better place to live. So you are free to leave your comment there – but with this being the 169th and last potluck and the day before Easter, it makes you look quite intolerant and prejudiced to say the least. . . and I don’t think that’s what you are all about. Life is too short. Let’s all live in peace and harmony! All the best, Rich.
