It was nice to meet some new faces. Thought the forum was great and interesting to listen to everyones thoughts. I agree it could of been a bit more organized, but overall felt it was well worth it!

  • Gerard M.

    I liked it.

The Great Love Debate was fun and informative. The Rubicon Theater is a great venue. I met some wonderful individuals, and enjoyed the post reception @ Winchesters. I felt the panel was, overall, well informed and helpful to the audience.

I loved the venue and concept...people were friendly and open....organization a bit weak

Interesting panel members .... some more approachable than others. Overall, great idea, execution a bit confusing.

    1 · March 19, 2014

  • Debbie A.

Hi all, you are correct in the organization aspects. The moderator was a little confused at first. The panel member that did not speak was a last minute fill in as one got stuck in LA.
I think the debate was interesting and the concept of the town hall meeting was unique and fun. The after party was great. Thanks for all coming out and for your patience as we got settled. We will do more "infotainment" events in the future.

felt as though it could've been more organized, maybe more focused. Venue was cool, after party was a great place to mingle. I enjoyed the event and did learn more about myself which is what I was hoping for :)

I had a lot of fun - saw some old friends, met some new ones, interesting debate - all in all a great time for me!

If I was younger and not so bright, I'd give it a 4 star.

    March 18, 2014

    • David S.

Joan, I just left a comment and rated it 4 stars. Then I saw your comment. Now I feel young and stupid. :-(

Thank you to the organizers. It was a fun event and I met lots of nice women and men, and learned some things about myself that I hadn't really thought about. My only criticism would be the panel. Some were good, some were not and one was nonexistent. Some were allowed to talk too much and others not enough.

Ellen, don't go by the meetup RSVP count as the indicator, many more men (and women) have bought tickets who are not members of this Meetup, there will be equal amounts of men and women, and the event will be sold out on both sides, it's getting close now.

With 8 men plus Brian, and 26 women, how will this work? So far, that is over 3 women to each man.

    February 10, 2014

    • Brian H.

why is facebook seemingly an issue? It has nothing to do with this event, nor attending it

      1 · February 12, 2014

    • Debbie A.

you don't have to join Facebook Randy. I would love to see you at the event though. We are just advertising it on different sites.

      February 14, 2014

  • Brian H.

So far the men are purchasing tickets at a rate slightly ahead of the women...good to see guys! Keep it up!

    1 · February 13, 2014

Wink and I have our tickets - this will be interesting!

    2 · February 13, 2014

  • ellen

Brian...when this announcement first came to us, the way to buy tickets was announced as going to Facebook. It was expanded within a day to simplify.

    February 12, 2014

  • Beth

Brian I think it's an issue of computer/internet savviness (is that a word?)

    February 12, 2014

  • Beth

You do not need to be on Facebook to buy the tickets.

    2 · February 12, 2014

  • ellen

I want to buy a ticket but am not on Facebook. What other way can I make this purchase???

Have no interest in joining Facebook however.
