Vermont Coders Connection Message Board › Helpful Information for Vermont Code Camp 5 Attendees
Closed to new replies
Vermont Code Camp tomorrow! The VTCC5 volunteers are busy getting everything ready and we know the speakers are polishing their talks and slides for you!
There are currently almost 200 registered. Last year we had 210 registered and 175 attendees. We're anticipating 200 attendees this year. That's pretty amazing!
The volunteers packed up 200 bags with swag and goodies for each attendee to pick up at registration!
Here are some helpful notes for you:
PARKING! (The #1 question is about parking). The parking lot by Kalkin Hall can accommodate a lot of cars. There is an overflow parking lot as well. Here is a link to a map that shows you where the parking is relative to Kalkin Hall. The "driveway" from Colchester Ave into Kalkin Hall's area is easy to miss if you haven't been there before. We will have signs at the entrance to help you out. But the map is the most useful tool we have for you: https://maps.google.com/maps/ms?vps=3&hl=en&ie=UTF8&oe=UTF8&msa=0&msid=201619543275372168578.0004731507eba61d0bc00
FOOD We will have pastries, coffee and juice in the morning, pizza at lunch and snacks in the afternoon. All of this is thanks to the generosity of our sponsors!
SCHEDULE: You can see the schedule, abstracts and speaker bios at vtcodecamp.org/2013. We have printed out enough copies of the schedule for everyone so you don't need to bring it with you.
RAFFLE There will be a raffle at the end of the day. We have loads of goodies. Not just geek stuff either! Lake Champlain Cruise tickets, Vermont State Park season punch card and more.
SOCIAL MEDIA: Tweet about code camp at #vtcc5 and/or @vtcodecamp.
THANK YOU SPONSORS! We couldn't not do this without the help of our sponsors who have donated funding and loads of swag. The list is long. Check out the sponsors at vtcodecamp.org. Each logo has a link to their website.
THANK YOU VOLUNTEERS! We have a hoard of volunteers who have been helping to make this event happen. There are a lot of tasks involved. Many of the volunteers will be at the code camp and they will be wearing the VTCC5 Volunteer t-shirt...they are gold in color so easy to spot!
NAME TAGS: We will be printing out name tags for everyone on Friday night. So if you haven't registered yet and are planning to, please do that soon!
If you forget to register, no worries...just show up. :)
SEE YOU SOON!!
The Vermont Code Camp Team
