vagrant up: Modeling Multimachine Clusters in a Single Vagrantfile

Event Details:

Modern websites and web applications are often created using multiple distinct parts. With Vagrant you can create these service-oriented architectures using a single Vagrantfile.

Using the multimachine environments feature in Vagrant is useful for properly isolating separate services as they are in production.

There will be a short presentation demonstrating some tips on how to set up these environments.  The floor will then open for member Q&A, discussion, and project work.

The presentation will begin at 7:00pm.

Red Line to Kendall Square/MIT stop.  Microsoft NERD Center is  approx. a 7 minute walk.

Paid parking is available in the Microsoft garage, located at One Memorial Dr.

I received an email at 3:49PM today which stated: "box_builders -

Due to an emergency, our scheduled presenter cancelled today and I've been unable to find a backup.

Tonight's Meetup has therefore been cancelled and will be post-poned until a later date.

    Thank you for your understanding.

Thanks, Carlos. The email did show up, I just did not find it until I saw your comment above. Pleased to see that the topic will be rescheduled.

I tried to attend, drove an hour, was told by receptionist on Floor #1 that the meeting had been canceled around 4:30. Ground floor staff knew nothing of the cancellation. Multiple attendees had signed in, but I could find no survivors, so went home. No email or other notice of cancellation. Did I miss a real meeting through misdirection? Too bad. I really wanted to learn the details of building multi-machine clusters using Vagrant. I hope that the topic will be addressed in a non-virtual meeting soon.
