This is all about jazz…..and you….and a supportive environment where you can jam and grow as a musician. Sound interesting? Read on… The Mira Theatre and Step Up Music Vallejo invite jazz musicians of all persuasions (voice, piano, drums, bass, harmonica…you get the idea) to jam together at the beautiful Mira Theatre located on Vallejo’s scenic waterfront. Starting in February 2014, the Mira, partnering with Step Up Music Director, Ariane Cap, will be hosting a jam session, held on Saturday, once a month. The session will last about two hours. Musicians of all levels are welcome and there will be at least one teacher each session on hand to offer guidance and support. Here’s what you can expect at each session: ++ Low key but helpful coaching ++ Easy charts for following along ++ The thrill of practicing your own compositions in a group setting ++ A supportive, non-judgmental environment ++ The opportunity to participate or just listen-in ++ Session fees will be on a sliding scale (Suggested donation is $5 - $10, per session), and will be used to support the Mira Theatre’s roof replacement fund - the Theatre being the site of many music classes and other efforts that support the Vallejo arts and culture community While we put the finishing details on the session, we would love to get feedback from you – a show of interest - so we can tailor these sessions to fit your music goals. If you are interested in receiving more details as we move closer to confirming the date of the first 2014 session, send an email to, and put in the subject line: Yes, count me in for the Mira jam sessions! Come and support your jazz community. We’ll raise the roof and warm the walls with some great jazz music! We look forward to hearing from you…. Patricia Kutza, for Step-Up Music and Mira Theatre Guild

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
