Besides East Coast Swing, what other related dances do you know or want to learn? E.g. Lindy Hop, Balboa, Charleston, etc.?

I am a newbie ECS dancer which proved to be very useful for this meetup. I have also had lessons in Nouveau Hustle and WCS which have many common elements with Lindy Hop.

How would you describe your dancing ability? Novice, intermediate, or experienced?

novice

Have you done much swing dancing before? If so, for how long?

I have only been dancing for about 3 months.

Would you be interested in leading a Meet Up swing dancing event?

Introduction

I'm very new to dancing. Really enjoy it so far.

What rob is saying about this Meetup Group

The best dance meetup group I have been to so far. I like the music but there was no blues played which is unfortunate since the style of dance works for blues. It's a fun group because Al Moro is a good venue, the lesson is A-OK, and the people very friendly and enthusiastic. Oh, and for $5 it's a bargain that is hard to beat for an evening of dance, socializing, and good exercise. The crowd is on the young side which I found encouraging because it shows that ballroom. swing, and lindy hop are making a huge comeback. This style of dance is definitely a good one for young people who are energetic but I was just as welcome even though I was a little older and slower than most of them. I saw all levels of dancers from beginner to very advanced. The lessons are well paced and the best part is the rapid partner switching. By the time the lesson is over you won't need to introduce yourself, and that is always one of the best parts of group lessons.
