I've seen a previous William Jans show when I lived in Toronto and he puts on a great one. He's such a vibrant performer combining aspects of his photography on the projected screen, music, dance, and his own quirky performance. He's a travel photographer that tries to get a unique perspective of people and places in his travels. I've also attended a workshop of his and he's a great teacher and a really fun & vibrant person to be around.
The info below is straight from the website:
William’s 6th show! This wild show takes you to the Philippines and China and adventures include Sleeping on the Great Wall (illegal but very cool), Treacherous mountain hikes, witnessing the Crucifixion festival North of Manila, Volcano climbs and running the Great Wall Marathon. Weird and wonderful stories including more impossible coincidences. There have been over 15 sold out shows (some with over 850 people per night). Come see what the fuss is about.
You can check out a CTV Victoria interview and a preview of photos from his trip at the site linked below:
Tickets range from $22-$25 depending on when/where you buy them. Hope those of you who can make it enjoy it; I'll sure be there!
