Ubuntu Vancouver: Ubuntu on the XO (OLPC)

This is a special event for owners of the OLPC XO laptop, from the "One Laptop Per Child" project.

This little laptop is a perfect Ubuntu-on-the-go device. We'll be attempting to install Jaunty (9.04) and possibly other goodies like mesh networking onto the devices that show up. We'll also attempt to fix issues on XO's that already run Ubuntu.

If you have an XO, this is the event to attend. If you know another XO owner, please pass along an invitation as these devices are fairly rare in Vancouver.

If you don't have an XO but just want to see what it's all about, you are welcome to attend to watch the fun.
