Base Classes are Evil

Speaker: Cliff Hammerschmidt

Summary: I truly believe that base classes (note: not interfaces) have lead to some of the major problems we have in maintaining and updating our code bases. I'll explain why I believe this and show my alternative approach to structuring code for reuse.

Note: The regular networking session will follow the (short) talk, so please feel free to come out just to meet new people. We welcome all kinds, not just software developers.

Note: RSVPs hold a seat until 6:45, after that it's first-come-first-serve. (So if you don't want to pay you don't have to.)

Thanks for the "eye opener" Cliff.
Grown up in a COM world I took interfaces for granted.
You reminded that interface concept is far wider than COM.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
