This time our speaker will be bringing a twist to Quality Assurance. A discussion around what talking about quality means when you get outside of Software QA. What really is the difference between QA and QC? How do our skills relate to others in the Quality Profession? Does ever software release really need a little tag stating ‘inspected by 38’?
Speaker: Mike Hrycyk - Sr QA Manager at Digital Payment Technologies
Mike's Bio: Mike Hrycyk has been in the software industry for the last 16 years of his life. Working his way up through the ranks from base QA, tier 2 support, Business Analysis to a Director of this and that leading cross functional teams, he has seen all manner of mistakes made in our industry; mistakes that could be avoided if people were just willing to think a little more and perhaps use a little perspective. His professional passion is to improve quality in everything he touches while coaxing teams to greatness. He lives in Vancouver with this wife, daughter and dog and wouldn't mind at all if everyone in the world with a kindle bought his novel. He can often be seen with a camera to his eye, walking into things.
