    Ah yes, The Chase...the hunt that "only now almost the last heedful eye seemed to see some sort of cunning meaning in almost every sight." --the perfect cadence of the greatest symphony that is a novel. Is it the end that we chase? Do we just move in ever contracting circles hunting a close-coiled woe discarding the pleasures of smoking a pipe and making many dents in the pillow of love???
