Sunday at the MOA - Nov 2013

Let's go and see the newest exhibitions at the Museum of Anthropology, "The Marvellous Real: Art from Mexico, 1926 - 2011", and, "Speaking to Memory: Images and Voices from St. Michael's Residential School".

Tickets are purchased at the door:
Adult ... $16.75
Student & Senior 65+... $14.50

~~

What to expect:
We'll arrive at 1pm, and gather in the foyer AFTER paying for our tickets. At about 1:20pm, we will then proceed, somewhat together, through the exhibitions.

See you there! :)

Note: for this visit, we will not arrange prepaid group tickets (savings of $2 each)... but depending how it goes, we may arrange group rates another time.

Thank you for giving me a ride to the bus stop, Trish. I've had a lot to contend with, recently, so I seriously forgot which bus I took to get there! Thanks again!

No problem Marie - I'm glad we found the right bus, going in the right direction! :)

It's confusing being a busser and not a driver. :)

Hey everyone! Excited to join you at the MOA tomorrow. I just read through the descriptions of the exhibitions again which were really helpful to refresh my memory of the context in preparation for viewing the exhibitions. Just in case anyone needs it, to get there by bus... take the 99 B-line to Broadway and Alma at stop #50357, wait 5 minutes then catch the C19 UBC Spanish Banks which stops right in front of the MOA.

Thanks, Trish. Just for everyone's info, that route (on a Sunday, anyway), would get us there either 22 minutes early or 22 minutes late, if we're meeting at 1 pm. I'm just going to walk from the bus loop, myself. It's maybe a ten-minute walk and the weather's great!

Hi Anita, you're right - I checked time to ensure getting there before 1pm, but didn't realize it got there THAT early! I guess the alternative is to take the 99 B-line straight through to UBC Loop - and walk over, or catch the C20 Marine via Totem Pk at 12:45pm, which gets to the MOA at 12:54pm. :)

After being completely flooded out of my suite, I could use a day of fun ! Does anyone live near the Commercial-Broadway area? I'd love to get a ride! Thanks!

All of the floors and walls have to be ripped out. Found a much nicer place to live just a few blocks away. The Universe just wanted to give me a kick in the butt to get myself to a better home! VERY happy to be here!!

Hi Trish, I can't remember what you had suggested about organizing a car pool; is there a way we can organize some sort pool?

    November 18, 2013

    • Trish

Hi Dana, I don't usually help facilitate car-pooling for my events unless there isn't bus service. But if anyone has a seat in their car -- post it here and those looking can private message to arrange pick-ups en route. :)

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
