Into the Woods - Location Scouting

We've been told that BSG has used both Lynn Valley and Capilano Park on the North Shore to shoot various sequences. I've already done a number of forays into the woods this spring, but I have yet to nail down the exact locations where scenes were shot. But we are VERY close. I just need some volunteers to help cover more ground.

A few people at "Coffee with the President" indicated they would be willing to help out. My plan is to gather at the Seabus terminal in North Vancouver at about 1pm on Saturday and carpool from there. Once we've had our fun, we can head over to the Neighbourhood Noodle House at 1352 Lonsdale Ave (just north of Safeway) for dinner.

If you would like to join us for either or both, please RSVP by Thursday at 8pm. I will contact everyone who signs up via email to work out the details. If you have a car and are willing to drive others, please indicate so in your RSVP. If you have an iPod or other portable device that can store photos, let me know and I can email you a selection of screen shots to use for spotting locations.

Please help if you can.....I'm starting to obsess about that swing set. Must find soon...

    You know what sucks, guys? The Province newspaper reported the very next day that BSG was shooting in the Seymour Demo Forest all of last week. Guess where we're going next?

    I've closed the RSVPs so we can get the logistics worked out. If you still want to come along...email me ASAP through Meetup! Or if you are familiar with the North Shore trails and would like to look over the screen shots I've collected and offer us advice, let me know. We will fill everyone in on what we find

      “ We had a lovely day wandering around near Cleveland Dam. Saw a lot of spots that looked like they could have been locations from the show. Enjoyed getting together for dinner afterwards. I especially enjoyed getting a chance to meet our youngest member before heading out. ”

      “ The task of finding locations in the woods is going tomuch tougher than I expected. Factor in that the Kobol sequences were shot more than 2 years ago and prior to the big Wind Storm that caused so much damage, and we may never match the shots exactly. But, it was still a wonderful reason to wander through the woods! ”
