13th Colony – Get Ready for 13 Weeks of Battlestar Galactica!

We’re almost at the beginning of the end of Battlestar Galactica, so we’ve decided to give our favourite show an appropriate send-off. The 13th Colony is hosting “13 Weeks of BSG” starting the first weekend in January and continuing until the last weekend of March. We’ve got two weeks of marathon Season 4.0 refreshers, then 10 viewing parties to coincide with the airing of the final 10 episodes, and one last post-mortem coffee/cry session to wrap it all up.
All of our events will be held at LaFontana Caffe in Burnaby, the site of our Halloween event. It’s just a couple of blocks from the Kootenay Bus Loop on Hastings Street, so easy to access even if you don’t have a car.

Mar 6 - (Fri), 6pm - New Episode
Mar 13 - (Fri), 6pm - New Episode
Mar 20 - (Fri), 6pm - Last Episode
Mar 28 (Sat), 1pm - Post-Mortem on the series, a discussion over coffee.
I’m still in the process of posting each event on Meetup, so they are not all up quite yet. Since we’ve got so many events in a row, I’ve turned off the “automatic reminders” from Meetup, so you won’t get nagged every week, but I may send out occasional notices to the mailing list as events warrant. We’ve designed the schedule so people can rely on where and when they can see BSG with fellow fans, but we still ask that you RSVP for each event, just so we can be prepared.
If you’re interested in helping out with the hosting or promotional duties, please let me know. We’ve set ourselves quite a challenge, but it will be worth it.
For those brave souls who make it out to all 13 of our events, there’ll be an extra special prize at the end of it all.
