I've played with Clojure a bit while reading 'Joy of Clojure' and love what I've seen so far, aside from the stacktraces. I want to work through exercises from Norvig's PAIP book or the SICP book using Clojure.
Thank you, Tavis!
hi Tavis, was wondering if you can put us in touch with the "reading club" folks, when is the next meeting and what's that architecture related paper?
hi Tavis, went home and watched your YouTube session on voice activated programming. I am an Emacs user myself, it's pretty neat what you were able to train the VR to do! :)
Just saw your question about our using Cloud Haskell (sorry for the late response). Yes, we're building out the next version of our task execution framework with it. So far, so very good. Mostly using distributed-process, and just dipping out collective toe into distributed-process-platform (the OTP 'port').
Tavis - Join the HackerNest Vancouver Tech Socials (formerly IMAGINEERISM) and become a part of Canada's largest tech meetup community. This is a casual, social group for technologists (and often entrepreneur-types) to come together, mingle, and perhaps find a partner in crime or two. Our goal is to unite Canada's brilliant-but-disparate tech community; we accomplish this by cramming very smart people into a room and providing free beer*. Hi Tavis -- I wonder if you might be able to make the group aware of the following job opportunity? We are looking to hire an excellent R user to work with our experienced team at the BCCDC.
I'm sorry to miss the event tonight, was looking forward to both talks, just too many things on the go.
