It used to be there were just a few tools that Digital Project Managers relied on to manage their projects; Email, Word, Excel, Project and the local file server. Oh how the times have changed! It seems like every week we’re hearing about a great new tool or cloud-based service that promises to streamline and assist our work lives like no other. Communications, budgeting, scheduling, time tracking, gantt charting, task tracking, bug tracking, browser simulating, prototyping, source code protecting, client presenting, mass email sending…oh my!
During our second meet up as we were waiting for people to arrive, the conversation almost immediately turned to the various tools we used.
