July Full Indie

PLEASE NOTE!  We have moved locations and will be hosting this month's meetup downstairs at The Pint.

****

After a day out in the sun, come in and spend a night with the indie family!  And don't forget to pick up your tickets to next month's Full Indie Summit (fullindiesummit.com) before they sell out--a 2-day conference, just for you!

****

Also, please note, we'd love to demo your game on one of The Pint's screens, but due to limited availability please email us ahead of time to reserve a spot and to work out connection details.

A note on RSVPs...

We understand that sometimes things come up that may prevent you from attending a meetup.  Due to the long wait lists, if you find yourself unable to attend and you're able to change your RSVP to a "no" that would really help us out. Thanks so much!

The meetup will kick off with 3 speakers and then transition into free-form networking.

Schedule:

- Doors open at 6:30pm** (see note below if you want to make an announcement)
- Talks start at 7:00pm.
- Networking begins around 7:45pm

Bring your games to the meetup! It's a great place to get feedback so bring along your laptop or mobile device and show off your hard work.

Please try to turn up and grab a name tag before the talks start at 7pm so that you don't disturb the speakers mid-flow. Many thanks for your consideration!

See you at the meetup!

** To help us keep things organized and fair, if you would like to make a short announcement, please be sure to show up at the start and add your name to the list.  Thanks!

I have a chance to play Sportsball that night and I loved it. I recorded a few minutes of gameplay on my cell phone. Hope everyone gives it a try when it comes out.

Excellent. I love seeing other people's work in the various stages of completion, and love talking to all the struggling developers.

I'll be late but I'm bringing along a bunch of game programming books I want to give away. If you're looking for some free books, I'll leave them at a table and feel free to grab what you want.

E.g. Game Programming Gems 1-3, Programming Pixel and Vertex Shaders, etc.

We're working with the fine folks at The Pint to tune the audio system and improve clarity in the venue. It looks like we'll have all the details ironed out for this meet up (fingers and toes crossed).

in case anybody wants to add to their music collection, i'll have with me a handful of rare physical CDs of my recent chiptune album "VARIOUS TOPICS". the album was released by Ubiktune -- amazing netlabel that brought forth music from guys like Virt and Danimal Cannon among others: http://ubiktune.com/releases/ubi070-bryface-various-topics . reply or PM if interested!

I don't think I can make it to this month's Meet-Up but I am a Game Programmer (10 years professional experience) looking for a local Artist to make some small indie games with! If interested, I put a little post on Craigslist with more details: http://vancouver.en.craigslist.ca/van/crg/4552290959.html

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
