If anyone haas gone on a safari to South Africa, Botswana and Zimbabwe, I would like to get some "reports"! I am going there this November in a wheelchair and want to prepare for all the problems I can foresee. The others I'll take care of as they arise!

Thanks Richard! I live in Yaletown and have wheels. When would be a good time for us to meet? My timetable is quite flexible except for weekdays until 10 am; after that, call it!

I think everyone will enjoy Beijing, the shopping is incredible. You bargain just like Mexico. Maximum to pay is 1/3 of what they ask. Their subway system is far superior to the skytrain and cheap. Don't miss them outdoor market and the usual foods they sell. Another tour should be miniature China. You should also tour one of the silk factories. Have something made a shipped home. Near Xian their is an monument to the WWII leaders and a stairway to take you to the top of the mountain - you get great views of the city. When I was their (2008) I traveled by car from Beijing and Xian with a guide (the brother of one of our group). A city you should visit in the future Fuzhou it's south of Shanghai in the Fujian Province. Enjoy your trip.
