NICARAGUA: Bike, Kayak & Adventure Group Trip - 8 Days

  • Jan 24, 2015 · 7:00 PM

NICARAGUA: 8 Day Group Trip (Jan 24 - 31, 2015)

We'll be joining Global Expeditions Club members from all over the US and Canada on this fun Group Trip to Nicaragua!

Join other like-minded solo & adventure travelers on a group tour of Nicaragua January 24 - 31, 2015 and explore Central America's up-and-coming hidden gem. Often compared to Costa Rica 10-15 years ago before it became the popular tourism attraction it is today, Nicaragua is surprisingly very safe, modern, friendly and offers a unique natural beauty and colonial charm that was long ago erased in Costa Rica. But like Costa Rica, this beauty won't stay a secret for long. Be sure you see it all before the word gets out and the hordes of tourists come to discover this amazing country.

Awesome Adventures Included On This Group Trip:

* Kayak on Lake Nicaragua

* Take a guided bike tour through the quaint colonial town of Granada

* Swim in a crater lake

* Ride a 4x4 up a volcano

* Zip-line through the tree tops of the cloud forest (optional)

* Hike to the crater rim of several active volcanoes

* View lava

* Sand-board down the black sand slopes of a volcano (optional)

* Travel through rich coffee plantations

* Take guide walks with local Naturalist Guides

* Experience a super friendly and welcoming culture.

---- also included, see below

NOTE: This trip is immediately following our popular Global Expeditions Club Costa Rica group trip ... why not join both and explore two great countries back to back (Costa Rica and Nicaragua)!

    Yeah I travelled through Nicaragua last year fantastic part of the world very laid back relaxed atmosphere inexpensive lots of culture and friendly people. You can travel very light in the warm climate - all you really need is camera, credit card and camera! Any clothing you can buy locally cheap from street vendors - makes great souvenir haggle the price! No need to bring much cash - Canadian bank cards and cell phones work throughout the country. Fast wi-fi Internet at all the hotels and resorts to upload your selfie photos. Take lots of pictures and don't be afraid to try the different local foods. If you sandboard down the Cerro Negro volcano in the picture make sure to cover your face with a cloth or the black sand gets all over your face and in your nose and mouth but it makes a great adventure photo though!

    I am interested in this trip, although I will be down in Florida near the start. Is there a possibility of meeting the group in Nicaragua from Florida?

    • Kevin

      Hi Liz - Absolutely. The group will meet in Nicaragua on Day 1 so coming from Florida instead of Vancouver isn't a problem.
