Maker Ed @ City Centre Library: Experiences from the front lines in Maker Ed

Join us for the next Maker Education meetup!

We're going to hear front-line experiences from teachers, museum staff, programmers, librarians, artists and hack space members who have been running maker programs in the Vancouver area.

Interested in starting some maker programming? Want to meet some local makers? This is the perfect place to get inspired and meet people in the city who share your interests.

We are planning for several short talks and lots of time to socialize. Refreshments generously provided by City Centre Library.

You can park for free for 3 hours in the gravel parking lot on University Drive. You just need to register your car in the lobby of the library if you do so.

If you arrive by train, head in the direction of the bus loop, then hang a right towards the library along University Boulevard.

More detailed parking information can be found here:

See you there!

Eye-opening and informative. Working with our librarians to bring makerspace thinking into our programming.

I unfortunately have been called away and won`t be able to attend tomorrow. I would really like to connect with this group. I`m part of a team that`s launching a 3D educational, design and printing website in June. We are seeking to collaborate with educators at all levels. If you would like to chat, please send me a message. Have a great time!

I plan to attend and can talk about the two very successful Arduino workshops I held for Scouts in the Fraser Valley. One of the workshops was at Green Timbers Elementary School (nearby).

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
