Over 50 years. For many years, I have always been the one in the group with a camera, usually a point and shoot, recording our progress in time. They may not be worthy of awards, but my photos of the past are very meaningful to me and the people in my life. I shunned my old 35mm SLR in the past for an Olympus Stylus 35mm that was easy to pack on hikes and backpacking trips. I went digital years ago, and have now come full circle back to SLR... this time digital. I bought my DSLR in November 2010 just before a trip. I know it's the photographer and NOT the camera that counts, but I love some of the results I am getting with my new equipment. I still have a lot to learn.
I mostly love nature shots, landscape to macro, but don't want to be stuck in any one genre. I like architecture and travel photography as well!
