Simon and I have been chatting over the past few weeks and we feel that there is a need for some members of this group to have a small instructional photowalk. We are planning to have the first one on the same day as the Olympic Village Photowalk on the 14th April. So, before you hit the RSVP button, please keep on reading...
Who should attend the Instructional Photowalk?
If you are comfortable with setting up you tripod, then this is NOT for you!
If you are happy with most of the scene settings and buttons of you camera, this is NOT for you
If you understand how to do some creative shots and which lenses to use when, then this is NOT for you.
This Instructional Photowalk is for those of you who have maybe recently purchased your camera and are not too familiar with it or with digital cameras in general. If you find that you are doing the same thing with your camera and not getting the results you want, then you need to come along.
What is the Instructional Photowalk about?
We will cover some of the basics that you should know in order to improve your photography and take it to the next level. It will be hands on and practical, some of the things we will cover will be as follows:
Tripod usage and techniques
Lenses - zoom and focal length
Camera scene settings - Landscape setting, Macro settings, etc
Creative techniques - Texture, pattern, motion etc
Technical - Macro, depth of field
So, if this is something you are interested in, then please sign up, the details will be put up shortly and is limited to 15 photowalkers.
