Feedback Session

  • Jul 24, 2013 · 6:00 PM
  • This location is shown only to members

It's been too long since we've had a Feedback session, so let's do it!

This is all about getting some constructive and honest feedback on your writing. Bring some script pages (up to 5) of whatever you want, enough copies for your speaking parts plus a narrator. We'll read the pages and discuss as a group to help you improve your writing.

You can bring a logline, synopsis, or just a rough idea you want help fleshing out instead of script pages. Whatever you want feedback on the most.

    Thanks to Rene and all.
I enjoyed the cold-reading of the very different scripts.

And thanks for your feedback on my logline for the new script I am working on, 'Follow the Money'.
Here is my revised logline, comments welcome.

Des fights Wolf over the remains of a once mighty software enterprise when the body of their long missing colleague turns up. A beguiling detective is determined to pin it on at least one of them until Homeland Security's involvement terrorizes everyone.

It was good to be around other screenwriters and listening to the other critiques. A little disappointed most had to go early because there weren't many left to hear my reading although it was nice to get feedback from those who were.

Thanks for for sharing your script's! I had to leave earlier for a song writing workshop, so next time I'll have my musical ready to read at the meetup! (well...to sing!)

Very informative. Some fine writers in this group. Being not much of a cold reader myself, was totally impressed with the passion and exuberance displayed by those who did. Thanks to all.

Small-ish turnout but it was a lot of fun. Some great work people, a lot of stuff in very different stages and mediums. Can't wait to see what happens with it all. Great work by everyone and some stellar acting ;)

Rene - thanks again for putting this together (this and many others) and I look forward to hearing more people's work in the future. It was a pleasure to meet everyone and I appreciate the feedback and discussion, both my work and everyone else's. Cheers

I completely forgot I had adagio training happening at the same time as this-- I'm sad to miss it, but hopefully this'll make the day of someone on the waitlist!
