Script Reading & Discussion

Time for another Script Reading & Discussion session!

This is all about getting some constructive and honest feedback on your scripts. Bring some pages (up to 5) of whatever you want, enough copies for your speaking parts plus a narrator. We'll read the pages and discuss as a group, using our collective experience and talent to help you elevate your scripts and your writing.

No script? No problem! Join in the discussion, read a part, hear what your fellow writers are working on, and have some fun. You can also bring a logline, synopsis, or just a rough idea you want help fleshing out instead.

As always, this session is free to attend.

Thanks everyone for a very enjoyable evening.
Rene, I'm pretty sure the Web 2.0 you mentioned is to do with IPv6 but just in case it isn't do you have a link you could let me have? Thanks again. Paul
This "New Internet" article from 2012 is about IPv6. http://www.businessinsider.com/take-a-look-at-the-new-internet-that-opened-for-business-today-2012-6

This is what is now being called IPv6. The improved speed relies on upgrading the network to fibre optic which is prohibitively expensive. Australia announced a A$40B fibre optic network in 2009 but cost has put its future into doubt. http://www.theguardia...

And it doesn't alter the fact that what is currently a public asset with a value in the 100's of trillions is being transferred to the private sector for a fraction of a percent of its value.

Hello. I joined recently, and currently working on a script. I just wanted to attend this first meeting just to get the feel and meet everyone.

Sounds like it could be very helpful, but I'm not sure how often I would use it.

Does anyone want to join a group
to have a writing office available
    throughout the month, round the
clock in Gastown? It's large enough
for meeting and cold readings, with
    actors, that would be filmed
and streamed out into the WWWuniverse!

    thx.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
