Stage combat is a vital skill for actors. Today, most actors strive to be a "triple-threat": Actor/Singer/Dancer. However, not so long ago every actor was also a capable fencer as well.
Most plays and films contain some violence, be it a slap in a drama, a swordfight in Shakespeare, or a prat-fall in a comedy. Don't get hurt on set because you don't know the basics.
Come out and play with a different weapon each week, learn how to perform a fight like an action hero, and how to stay safe in the process.
One hour of stage combat. Sometimes armed, sometimes unarmed. Sometimes one-on-one, sometimes group fights. Sometimes film, sometimes stage. Come by and learn a new facet of fighting for an audience, and creating the illusion of violence.
Wear running shoes and comfortable clothes.
