The Vancouver International Dance Festival is holding life drawing sessions from Thursday, March 13 to Friday, March 28. Along with an art exhibition this is taking place in the Roundhouse Exhibition Hall adjacent to Yaletown. All this is a part of the Dance Festival itself.
• sessions are free • noon hour and weekdays only
• dancers and life models will pose in either costumes or plain clothes
• Opus will supply sketching paper, pencils and other supplies free of charge (available for participants to borrow)
Since the sessions are only an hour long, i am not sure if this warrants a proper meetup. As this event is at the Roundhouse, it could be coupled with the old locomotive. What to others think? The website is loaded with goodies, including some free events by Kokoro Dance.
Jan 21/14 - So this new info for this meetup - meet at 11:45am for the 12noon to 1:00pm draw the dancers session, then draw as you like in this area, maybe the locomotive, the nearby marina or whatever, until 2:30pm and then reconvene at the community centre for our usual meeting to end the day.
