Did you know that Saturday April 19th will be the 2nd World Wide Sketchcrawl of 2014? Here is the link for more info:
Let's participate with an urban outdoor mini sketchcrawl of Vancouver's beautiful West End neighbourhood! There will be 3 locations to sketch starting at 11am and lasting 1hour each. Feel free to attend some or all of the locations, no pressure, but we will sketch in this order:
11:00 - 12:00
We will start at the VANCOUVER ART GALLERY steps on the Robson Street Side. Here is the link for directions to the art gallery:
12:00 - 12:15
We will gather back at the gallery steps and share our sketches.
12:15 - 12:30
We will walk westbound on Robson St making our way over to BARCLAY HERITAGE SQUARE, home of the Roedde House Museum and a gorgeous location to sketch. Here are links to the museum and the Square:
12:30 - 13:30
Sketch around this area.
13:30 - 13:45
Gather back at the Roedde House Museum to share our sketches.
13:45 - 14:00
We will walk westbound to the A-MAZE-ING LAUGHTER sculptures at English Bay - Denam and Davie Streets.
14:00 - 15:00
Sketch the bountiful pulse of this busy location. I'm getting excited just thinking about it!
15:00 - as long as we wish
Gather back at the laughing guy statues to share our sketches and perhaps enjoy a beverage or two for our sketchcrawl efforts. There are many places to drink; from coffee to beers - to hot dog and....cheers! And cupcakes!!
So wear comfortable shoes, bring some water, sketch stool if you wish and of course, your art supplies. Perhaps an umberella (cuz you just never know...)
Most of all, bring your spirit and enthusiasm!
See you on April 19th!
