Draw Granville Island Saturday May 17 , 1pm to 3pm

I know we have done this before but this is such a great location, central Vancouver, transit, food, washrooms and a great variety of things to draw plus Opus art supplies, and of course Emily Carr, Federation of Canadian artists, Malaspina Print makers, Dundarave Print Workshop all have galleries to visit. As before let's meet in the plaza on the water side of the food market, where the buskers perform. Just walk right thru the market and go to to the east side, waterside of the building. Look for the hideous red baseball cap on top of an ancient sketcher.
Don't forget you are not limited to the 1pm to 3pm time I have set, you can come early or stay late or whatever you like. There are no rules, please enjoy. Everyone, especially first time people, welcome, all you need is something to draw with and something to draw on.
We will meet at 1pm say hello then you can draw wherever you like for two hours and meet again at 3pm and look at our drawings(not required if you don't want to) and talk.

Managed to find a quiet(ish!) spot to draw. Love to meet up with this group.... relaxed, but everyone very into their drawing and willing to share tips. Thanks for organising, Don.

O, the humanity! Far too much of it this weekend! I stayed for 15 minutes and bailed. I am used to the place on a weekday. I will keep that in mind in future. Guess I'm just a country boy from WRock these days. Hey, Mayor G. wants to densify the whole city like that...good luck with that. (Bet he's out of town for the weekend.)

There is also a British Classic Car Show happening in he Van Dusen Gardens from 10:00am to 4:00pm on Saturday May 17th as well. There is a charge (check the Van Dusen gardens website).
It might be interesting to draw the cars - possibly do two events in one day ??? - the car show and Granville Island?
