KIMBO Design, (www.kimbodesign.ca) the company where I am currently employed at, is looking for a WordPress web developer with skills in responsive website development. This is a full time, on-site 3-month contract position. You will be working alongside me in developing high-end custom websites. This company’s office is located in downtown Vancouver just 2 blocks from the Network Hub where we normally have our WordPress meetups.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the design and implementation of web, mobile web and native mobile
  applications
  
• Code pixel perfect HTML & CSS from Photoshop comps with extreme attention to detail
  
• Institute best practices to ensure excellent page loading performance, SEO structure
  and maintainable code
  
• Cross browser testing and functional testing of all site updates
  
• Help integrate the latest user experience technologies into valuable tools for our clients
  and members
  

Requirements & Qualifications

• Must have proven experience in responsive website development
  
• Must have experience in developing websites that display properly on all major web
  browsers and smartphones including iPhone, Android, and Windows Phone
  
• Expert in WordPress customization including but not limited to custom post types,
  custom taxonomies, and custom fields
  
• Must be able to create a WordPress theme from scratch
  
• Proven ability to code in these programming languages: HTML, XHTML5, CSS3, PHP,
  JavaScript
  
• Must have experience in developing cross-browser and cross-platform compatible
  solutions
  
• Experience with jQuery would be a definite asset
  
• Excellent understanding of UI/UX best practices
  
• Must have experience with MySQL databases pertaining to WordPress
  
• Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience
  
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  
• Self-directed and capable of working in a fast paced environment
  
• Professional attitude
