Likes: wit, storytelling, theatrical flair, attention to detail, and original ideas. Dislikes: pointless hack&slash, needless grimdarking, and inter-personal nonsense/childishness.
I didn't start playing tabletop RPGs until I was in my 20s, though I've been a fan of console RPGs for almost as long as I can remember. My first pen-and-paper style game was Legend of the Five Rings (which I was playing as a CCG at the time), and I've still never found a better game for storytelling. In terms of play-time, I think I've probably clocked easily five times as many hours GMing tabletop games as I have playing. I've played in as many PbP campaigns as I have tabletop ones, and have played in tables at GenCon and GottaCon. I've also worked with a couple of game designers on play-testing materials for indie games (none of which have seen publication, but you know how that goes).
Best Campaign System: Legend of the Five Rings (L5R) Best One-Shot System: Risus Best Setting: Legend of the Five Rings Preferred Game to GM: L5R Have played / enjoyed: L5R, Pathfinder, Risus Have played: Vampire, nWoD, Exalted, Call of Cthulu
