Off-The-Cuff Link Building

Hello Vancouver SEM+SEMPO members! We would like to invite you to another meeting that we hope will be interesting for those who still believe in the importance of SEO as effective part of Search Marketing strategy.

Off-The-Cuff Link Building

When it comes to your link profile you need to learn to link or die. Taking an “off-the-cuff” approach to link building with little preparation or thought can prove deadly for a lot of websites in our Post-Penguin world. We invite you to attend this session on relevant link building topics such as:

· Are your link building strategies killing you? Are your competitors able to use Negative SEO to harm you?

· How do you properly use Google’s Disavow Tool without hurting yourself?

· How hard is it for most businesses to actually get natural links? Are there any natural linking opportunities left for the typical business?

This event will provide an open platform to discuss link building in a fresh way and give you the opportunity to learn from others’ link clean up experiences as well.

About Chris Genge

Chris started in SEO in 1996 and founded 1st on the List in 1997 back when the Search Industry was very young. With few resources he developed his own methods to determine why websites were not ranking and how to get them ranking. Continuing to oversee projects Chris spends most of his time keeping current with today’s SEO technologies including consulting with staff and clients on various SEO topics in a post-Panda-Penguin world.

Great presentation Chris. I enjoyed it a lot. We are not done talking about links, sharing stories about sites that are penalized. Thanks for your deep understanding of linking strategy. It was very helpful. As such, any chance to have a link to your presentation on slideshare or the equivalent?

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
