Hi all-

A few comments for the remaining activities for this school year.

1.      Last Sunday we had a Christian/atheist debate/discussion on "hope."  The video is now online for free viewing:

2.     Portland State University philosophy professor Peter Boghossian has given some controversial lectures earlier this year.  He'll be giving another free public lecture (with audience Q&A) this Sunday [masked]) near downtown Portland.  An event description is posted here:

3.     Prof. Boghossian will also be giving a free public lecture (and discussion) at Intel in Hillsboro, during lunch time, on Friday 5-11-12.  The topic is regarding how to incorporate 'critical thinking' (both a process and an attitude) into your life.  Details are here:

4.     On Sun. [masked], I'll be involved in a Christian/atheist debate at Portland State University (PSU), sponsored by the PSU Freethinker's Club.  I'll be representing an atheistic viewpoint, and the Christian viewpoint will be represented by philosophy professor Phil Smith, from George Fox University.  Also participating is Ben Crockett, a PSU student and biology major (our topics involve the implication of evolution upon theology).  Details are here:

That wraps-up the events for this school year.  Then we take a summer break and will later decide what to do for the next school year.
