You have some interesting info on your blog posting. I think having a meetup around speakers is a good idea--although I would prefer something more local or indie filmmaking. The Riese people are rich americans with industry connections. For micro budget filmmakers not very many of their experiences can be emulated without some serious money (i.e. attending San Diego's Comicon as a vendor or hiring name actors). Rather local micro filmmakers present their experiences-Brian Alyea for example.
