Last week, I joined the NYC Vegetarians Meetup on a wonderful outing to an Indian temple in Flushing where they have a cafeteria. The food was delicious and I couldn't wait to go back, so I figured I'd copy them and schedule a lunch for our group.
Temple Canteen is a cafeteria located in the lower level of a Ganesha Temple in Flushing, Queens. It is vegetarian and some items are vegan, but you have to ask the staff on what is and isn't. Here is the menu- http://nyganeshtemple.org/canteen
The closest subway station is the Main St stop on the 7 line. You can also take the Q19 bus that runs along Astoria Blvd to Main St, Flushing. From Main Street, there are several bus lines that stop near the temple. The Q27, Q34, Q65 or you can just do the 15-minute walk from here.

For those driving, there was ample street parking the last time I went. I am driving and can fit 3 people into my car, leaving from Astoria (Crescent and Astoria Park South). If you are looking for a ride, please comment below or send me an email directly.
If you are offering a ride in your car, please post in the comments below and coordinate it with any takers directly.
We will meet on Holly Ave in front of the Temple at 1pm. That location looks like this:
We'll wait here for 15 minutes and then go downstairs into the cafeteria. My number is[masked]-7350. It's possible I won't get reception in the cafeteria, since it's downstairs, but we will likely be easy to spot.
