24th Annual Lone Star Vegetarian Chili Cook-off

ATTENTION APVers!: We need people to form a Chili Team for the cook-off, which would include a head cook and some assistants. We also need cooking equipment (gas or electric) and a couple of large pots, so we can cook the 5 gallons of chili that the cook-off needs. We also need donations to fund the Team's entry fee and chili ingredients (we're trying to figure out how to do this). The cook-off itself will also need volunteers (these things don't run themselves, you know).

Every year nearly 1000 people come to taste the chilis prepared by around twenty different teams from all over the state of Texas. These chilis are all completely vegan, no animal products used in their preparation whatsoever. In addition to the competing chili teams, there are many informational and educational booths, products and services offered by local vendors, door prizes, giveaways and guest speakers, and live music and entertainment. People who pay to taste the chilis will move from team to team, tasting and judging the chilis for themselves to determine the People's Choice award. More information is at www.VeggieChiliCookoff.com.

I am interested in helping with the chilli cook off. I could lead the team. I was a chef for many years and owned a couple of restaurants. My vegan chilli is pretty amazing too!

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.

Henry, started Reno Motorcycle Riders
