August Restaurant Dinner Visit at Aster's Ethiopian

For our August restaurant visit, we'll be downtown to enjoy dinner at Aster's Ethiopian. Our last restaurant visit at Aster's was a year ago, and it's always been a hit. If you’ve never tried Ethiopian cuisine, then you’re in for a treat! Their extensive vegetarian menu includes both mild and spicy options. In the Austin Chronicle's review, they said that compared to the Ethiopian dishes they've tried in other cities, they "can attest that she is producing the real deal."

Aster's is located on the southbound feeder road (west side) of I-35. Take the exit for 32nd St., which is Exit 236A. Please note, the Google map places the marker on Rodeway Inn. The restaurant is actually the building immediately south of the Inn, just north of Dean Keeton, right in the corner where the ramp to westbound Dean Keeton splits off.

I wasn't thrilled with the cuisine or the atmosphere (sorry) but the service was good and quick. I don't see a second visit in my future.
