Membership Policy

Who can join?

This group is open to anyone in the Charlotte area who has a sincere interest in Vegetarianism.

If you aren't really interested in being an active member of our community but you have a business or service you'd like our members to know about you are welcome to contact the organizer with that.

Who should not join?

People who are only looking to promote their business /products and/or services within our site.

Message Board

Standard message board etiquette applies: stay on topic within a thread, be respectful of other members, etc.

RSVP Etiquette
If you RSVP 'Yes' and change your mind we ask that you simply change your RSVP to 'No' on our meetup site. If, however, you change your mind within 24 hours of the actual event please extend that organizer the courtesy of also sending them a separate, private email or giving them a call if they've provided their phone number. We're all adults and you don't have to provide a reason for changing your mind, it happens. When used properly, RSVP's are tools for good communication, not judgement, so don't be afraid to use them.

Membership Requirements

1) Fill out your profile completely.

2) Be an active member in good standing.

At the very minimum, active means you visit the website. After three months you are considered inactive by and will be subject to removal with or without notice. If you are removed for inactivity you are always welcome to rejoin as your time and interest allows.

Good Standing means you attend the Meetup Events that you RSVP 'Yes' for.
A member is not in good standing when they are a "no show" for a Meetup Event. To be a "no show" means you RSVP'd 'Yes' but did not attend and you did not change your RSVP and/or contact the Organizer for the event to let them know. Members not in good standing are subject to having their membership discontinued at the organizer's discretion.
