VSDC Book Club discusses "Three Bags Full" by Leonie Swann

  • Jun 26, 2013 · 7:30 PM
  • This location is shown only to members

Please join the Vegetarian Society of DC Book Club discussion of Three Bags Full by Leonie Swann.

To participate just read at least half the book -- and RSVP at least two days before the meeting.

“In this refreshingly original detective story from debut German author Swann, a flock of sheep investigates the murder of their beloved shepherd…” –Publishers Weekly

We will meet at a vegetarian restaurant (in MD, DC, or VA). Everyone will order on their own and pay directly to the restaurant. People who RSVP "yes" will get the location information. For more details contact Beth through meet up. For more information about the book club (including everything we have read over 20 years!) visit

Be considerate...if your plans change, PLEASE update your RSVP!

I've been trying to shake a migraine all day. :( I'm changing my RSVP to a no, but if I have a sudden recovery I'll turn up. :)

Hope, you might want to try going in a dark closet and trying to relax your mind. It might help.

May I recommend a few classic books for our reading pleasure?
-Lord of the Flies by William Golding
    -Animal Farm by George Orwell
-The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald

In fact, we read Animal Farm and Great Gatsby, and Lord of the Flies is on our voting list but hasn't won. Hope to see you at one of our meetings!

Oh no! I just assumed that the location would be closer to DC -- I won't be able to get there from work in time. Hope to join you at a later meeting!

Baa baa black sheep, have you any wool? How many people usually come to these book discussions? Where do they happen? Are the restaurants you choose easily metro/bus accessible?

We are meeting at Sunflower (Falls Church location). Details now posted above.

I'm going to be in NH until July 8, so I do not think I can join you at Sunflower. I will see you later!

Hello. I'm Alistaire. I always like joining you, but I can only come if the Location is metro/bus accessible and if the Time isn't too late at night for me. Thanks for understanding.
